Death Guard Update

After thinking for a day I thought about allowing the Havoc Launchers to be included in the use of blight shells.

Death Guard

I have been thinking about starting a Death Guard army using GW and Forge World parts, and making stats for Blight Shells to be used in a Defiler and Vindicator.

One night when I could not sleep I wrote down some notes on Blight Shells.... (Trust me to leave it in the bedroom)......
Blight Shells:


Can be used by a Vindicator or a Defiler, any who has been wounded but has not been removed from play must pass a toughness test or they have been infected by the toxins and other nasty things that the followers of Nurgle have placed inside the shells.

Use the stats of the weapon that is being used to deliver the shells.


In the shooting players next turn the minis that failed the toughness test turn on thier bretheren and join the renagades.

Let me know what you think of that please.

Battle Missions

Picked this up today from my hobby center, there was also the deff dred on display as well.

I called GW

Mail order to find out if they were going to update the razorback kit to 5th edition.

"I dont know if they are, but you could get the crusader upgrade kit." was the respopnce on the other end of my mobile.

If I did get the upgrade kit it will leave me with parts I wont use as im not going to get any Land Raiders since I wont be fielding any Terminators due to the dropsite massacre during the the events in the fantastic book "Fulgrim."

any thoughts from you guys?

Why cant GW do kits...

That have all the options for the model like the Razorback in the 5th edition marine codex has options for assualt cannons, twin linked plasma guns and a las cannon, for me this urks me off something cronic.

What are your thoughs? Are you urked off like me?

Razorback alpha 1

Started to put together a Razorback lastnight just before TNA Impact, the tracks need to go on as do the doors but im going to wait untill I get the resin doors from Wayland Games at the moment it looks like the Iron Father will not be happy as it looks like some heretic has pinched the tracks. Not a bad idea for a painting competition.

Just need Assualt Cannons for the turret.

Burn Notice

Now this is a fracking cool show, first shown in the UK on FX, now on fiver from the 4th of March.

Its about a spy who was on a job when he got burned and ended up in Miami, this show stars Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell and Sharon Gless.

Gm Kit and Space Wolves

With the arrival of the GM Kit, Im about 60% done with the Blood Claws in there is a Wolf Guard in the squad, just need to get some replacement running legs for my Iron Hands tac 1 squad, and need to get an Assault Cannon in from bits and kits when the stock is in for the Razorback.

I ordered some Iron Hand Icons from Wayland Games yesterday, I know I need to get some photos up of the scouts.

I went for Logan Grimmnar pre great wolf.

Still waiting on gifts for geeks to prosess the GM kit, tho I payed yesterday and no responce to 2 emails.

Looks like im going to change where I get my mimis.

Just made my first solo cake today, just letting my other half do the valintines day dinner.

Close Combat Iron Hands

first squad is nearly put together as I need to mould the pad icons and wait for some resin bits to order, and to mould and attach to the pads.

I think the hardest part for me will be is making the bionic parts as I have never done that before.

I did however use some green stuff on a masked marine head and put a lens from the scout sniper box and used that as an eye, well thats a start.

Went out shopping once more today

I went into town with the sniffles and headed to to the local pharmacy 3 miles away in Frome to get something for a cold and some bread.

Also went to the Frome model center as well there was a toss up between a land speeder storm or a razorback, I wanted both but could only afford one or the other so ended up with a razorback.

So what needs to be made up now is as follows:

rhino, razorback, 10 man Assault squad, 6 man Combat squad, a scout squad and 2 tactical squads 1 of the squads has the Iron Hands Upgrade kit.

What is made is a 6 man Terminator Squad inc assault cannon, 2 dreds brothers Bill and Ben and a Terminator Libby.

Thats just mine.

Iron hands squad arrived this morning, shame postie cant knock on the door... Davids Space Wolves Scouts are getting on well.

Watced G.I Joe last night good film, I thought the bad guy I recignised it was the time lord from the new 1st season.

Started in the Metal work on the Wolf Scouts, I'm quite happy with them so far.

Libby colour

So any idea on the colour of an Iron Hands Libby? I put the guy together through a slow episode # 3 of Caprica last night.

I also called up Mail Order and spoke to the guy I yelled at yesterday and apologised for yelling at him.

I also just primed some Wolf Scouts about to start painting them.

Space Wolves

I put together a squad of Grey Hunters this afternoon after getting up @ 12:30, well I did not get to bet until 3 am just could not sleep.

Not much new

but finished Brother Ben and added a heavy flamer to the cc arm as it looked to naked without the weapon.

Went to Bath today

With my partner, he had a quick intro game, while I ordered Iron Hands squad, tho their order point was down, and got dragged around Bath for 3 hours, when I could of been cleaning up Brother Ben, took the storm bolter off him last night and added the pod launcher to his left shoulder.

Cleaned up the terminators and the squad of marines. Trying to find a drop of break fluid to strip off one left shoulder pad or I might just repaint it.

Also got in the post this morning one of the 2 NCIS soundtracks, the one with Abby's Lab and Ziva's rendition of "Temptation"

In the New WD

There are some Iron Hands Teminators and Servitors. When I do the flesh Im hoping to do the flesh like Borg flesh.

What was ordered has arrived this morning, when returning home from shopping I soaked the minis in hot water in the bath for 15 minutes to remove the release coating from the plastic moulder.

when they are dry its time to remove the tactical markings, its 17:30 here and its still raining.

Dark Heresy & Rogue Trader

Two weeks ago I received a copy of Rogue Trader from Project Hydra (For a fiver) not including P&P also edition 5 of the 40k rulebook.

Last week i picked up a copy of Dark Heresy and today I ordered Purge The Unclean the first adventure book.

Since I'm still waiting for a delivery from Gifts for Geeks for my partners Space Wolves and the AOBR box Id thought I would add another blog entry and take a photo of Drednaught #1 Bill.
